According to the CDC says there are 100,000 live births to women over 40 every year, and only 5% are DE.

I am 44 and pregnant.... that is so old...

I think I definitely takes a little bit longer. With my other pregnancies I got pregnant immediately. With this one, I assumed that I couldn't get pregnant because I am age 45, and got lazy with birth contro,l and didn't get pregnant for a year and a half. I am now 16 weeks pregnant. Don't give up.

Women are very healthy these days. My friend had her baby in June at the age of 43, nearly 44.To look at her, you would think she was more like a 30 year old. She wanted to get her degree first, etc.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
