I am 47, daughter 3y & son 5y

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Wednesday, June 11, 2008 | 0 comments

I am 47, I have a daughter 3 years old, and a son 5 years old. Very challenging to say the least. I sometimes feel I don't have the energy to keep up with them, but I do try.

I am 44 years old with nearly 19 year old college daughter, 17 year old (next month) son, 16 year old step daughter, 14 year old step son, and an October 4th due date for baby.

I work full time, and will have to continue to do so after the baby is born. Our 2 junior children have college tapping at the door, and will be joining that world with their sister soon.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
