I had my fifth baby one month before my 46th birthday. What you will need: a sense of humor, trust in God, letting go of your plans.

Magdalene Njue, who had her baby at 45, recalls feeling "dead-beat" and had to sleep every afternoon during her pregnancy. She also gave birth by caesarean section, but has no regrets.

"I had been trying to get pregnant for many years and this was a blessing," says Magdalene.

Geez, my grandma had her last baby at 45, and at home!! The baby was fine (too spoiled, if you ask me), and grandma lived to be 87.

I'd say it would be very difficult to draw the line at a certain age. Circumstances vary. I know somebody who had a baby (naturally) at 48.
