I will be 45 in less than 2 weeks. I am 11 weeks pregnant. Heard good strong heartbeat today! I rented a fetal doppler from Babybeat.com and I can listen to my baby's heartbeat anytime I want!

Maybe it'll help to know that I'm 47, and just had my fifth child last month (my sixth pregnancy). Except for having gestational diabetes, and not a bad case of it at that, my pregnancy was AWESOME and my beautiful baby boy was born on his due date weighing in at 9 lbs. 2.2 oz and was 21 1/2 in. long.
By the way, as stated in the beginning, I've been pregnant six times, with five live births. I, too, miscarried at 6 weeks in my second pregnancy... and I was in my 20's at the time. So, yes, it's quite possible to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby later on!

Hi - is there anyone out there who's pregnant and alone in their 40's? I'm 44 and have just found out I'm pregnant. This will be my first (and only) child.
The father wants me to terminate and it looks like I'm going to be doing this alone. I've never really thought of myself as being "middle aged" before because I don't feel that way.
And neither have I worried too much about what other people think, but all of a sudden I'm terrified of walking my little baby and people commenting on my grandchild!

I am 44 and have a 2 year old little boy. He is the love of my life. I just found out that I am pregnant again and am thrilled. You shouldn't feel "too old" - your baby will bring you so much joy.
