Someone submitted my name above - what a shock - well today I have a beautiful boy born on his due date, a very healthy pregnancy, easy birth (no drugs) and he is so bright. I was 48 when he was born.

The previous Captain just retired a few weeks ago and until yesterday, we did not know who would replace him (a.k.a. "the boss"). Well, we met him yesterday and today we found out his wife (46 years old) just had their 10th baby two weeks ago.

The kids are aged 21 to newborn. When everyone met him and heard this they said "are you crazy?" and "better you then me" stuff like that. I said "WOW, you lucky man! I'm envious" He laughed and said, "don't hear that very often."

After six years of trying, beta is GREAT! I have not posted here in a while. I just wanted to share the good news to continue on your journeys to health. My second beta is 6700!

After many years of wasted treatments, IVFs, IVIGs, Humira, etc. I recently found out I had lyme disease, treated it very aggressively with antibiotics, and we conceived naturally.

I am 5w5 days today. I am so stunned and amazed, and thankful to God for this miracle.

You all might want to look into getting tested for Lyme. There are some new tests out that are far more accurate than the old ones. My husband and I both got treated for it.

Previously, I never had a beta over 70. This is my first, after many miscarriages. - Really Old Timer from this Board - 45 years old

First of all, one of my best friend: 43 (44 in December), with troubles of endometriosis and high FSH, 2 failed ICSI, first time natural pregnancy! She is now almost 5 months, yesterday she got the result of amnio: it's a very healthy boy!

Second one, my friend's gynaecologist told her about her patient, 48, married for 2 years, 1 miscarriage last year, now natural pregnant. I hope this board will be plenty of good news for all of us!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.

Is there any way for me to get more information from the woman who had Lyme? What antibiotics and for how long? Post 3408.
