My acupuncturist had her 1st baby at 45

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Monday, August 27, 2007 | 0 comments

My acupuncturist also had her first baby at 45. I also heard about a lady on another site that had an FSH of 68 --- and she got pregnant! I don’t plan on giving up and plan on trying to have 2 pregnancies up until I’m 46! (I’m 43).

After an uncomplicated pregnancy at age 44, she gave birth to "the cutest thing you've ever seen," she boasts. "No really, he's gorgeous and he's a great kid. He could be on the cover of a magazine."

I was 42 when I had Amy - my 6th child. Followed by my 7th child when I was 43, and 8th child when I was almost 46. The last two were normal and healthy. Peggy

When I was 45, I started missing some periods but the pregnancy test was negative. I was told it was menopause. I was really conflicted about this and went in to see the Dr. He ordered an ultrasound, just to make sure, and there she was, a full baby! I had her 6 months later. I guess you could say, it ain't over till it's over!!

I am probably having some early dementia as I posted earlier this was my #8 as it is actually my #7 pregnancy lol! I am 44 and I've had 3 miscarriages and have three healthy beautiful boys, so I have had all the typical symptoms, not any of the severe complications others have suffered with like preclampsia, htn, gestational diabetes, pre-term labour, etc.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
