I just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant at age 46 1/2 with my 13th!! My youngest two were born when I was 41 (Katie) and 44 (Joshua), perfect and precious in every way. I hope I’m as lucky this time round.

My eldest daughter, Hannah, is due 2 days before me! She told her son Grandma's having a baby too!! Cross your fingers and keep me in your prayers.

I'm 44, my wife is 46, and we just had twin girls in November. I can't imagine trying to raise twins when I was in my 20's or even 30's. I just don't think I would have the means to manage the process. I feel I'm a much better parent now.

My maternal grandmother had her last (tenth!!!) kid on her 44th birthday.

I had one at 40 and another at 42, but my cousin did a family history with one of the farm women ancestors having her 11th child at age 48.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
