She had my mom's friend (naturally) around 60

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Wednesday, April 25, 2007 | 0 comments

When I was a kid, I was amazed at the story of one of my mom's friends. Her mother had tried to conceive over the years and couldn't. Anyway, she lost her period and had my mom's friend (naturally) when she was around 60. My mom's friend never had kids. Strange eh?

I found out I was pregnant the day after my 44th birthday. I have opted for no tests. I have one fallopian tube, and miscarried 3 years ago at 17 weeks. I have 5 children (ages 21 to 8 years), and thought my ability to get pregnant was over. I was shocked Indifferent!

I am now 15 weeks! Still praying! So far so good. My faith is holding out that all is well. Knowing all is well with you baby gives me hope!

My name is Mary Ann, and I just turned 45 and expecting 9/29. It was a shock at first, but I'm very excited about this new addition. I have 4 children, 3 daughters, 20, 18, 16 and a son, 13.

I had my 1st ultrasound on 2/9 and saw the heart beating. I go back on March 23 to get the results of my blood tests and hopefully, be able to hear the heartbeat by then.

I was 45 when I had Christian on September 28th. I went through the same fears and excitement, but he is my first (after a blighted ovum/miscarriage the previous November).

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
