My mom told us she was pregnant at 48
So, what's this about a baby sister?? Yeah, the shock was pretty complete when my mom told us she was pregnant... at 48.
What was she thinking? Even I knew how babies are made and I hadn't had sex yet! Rebecca Sterling was born on February 11, 1997... and I actually watched.

I had my first child at the age of 48, four years ago. I will be celebrating my 52nd birthday on the 20th of November, and I now find myself pregnant. I still cannot believe that anyone can get pregnant at that age, but I went to the doctor and he confirms that I am.

My husband and I were married last July (my 1st marriage), and immediately dropped birth control, figuring we could TTC, and have more fun while we were at it. I was 44, now 45, but have always been active and felt healthy, so it didn't seem totally impossible.
My baby is a good sized young boy, and very normal, active, and limber according to my serial ultrasonography studies. My glucose testing, blood pressure, and other tests have all been normal. I will be 27 weeks tomorrow, but am carrying so high and so far forward, everyone thinks I'm having twins or am very close to delivery.
