A woman in my prenatal group is 47 & having twins

Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Sunday, February 18, 2007 | 0 comments

I even know a woman in my prenatal group who is 47, and having twins! Go for it! You'll be a great mom, and don't listen to what others say. You'll raise your child your own way. By the way, if god thought you were too old, he wouldn't have blessed you with this perfect gift!!! Good luck and God bless!!!

I had my first son at 40, and now am expecting another son and I am 45 (my husband is 48). What wonderful surprises! We had hoped to be able to have children a little earlier in our life, but that is just how things work out.

We are very happy. We are blessed. And we have had excellent support from our friends and family. Good luck and many blessings to you and your family. Enjoy your life at any age. Age is not important to your child. Have fun!

I am only 46 years old. Yes, you are reading correctly 46! and very proud of them. My husband and I are expecting our first baby, we are both thrilled and can't wait for our baby to arrive
(due date is August 1, 2005).

We are more than ready to have this baby (emotionally, financially & physically). We have more experience now than 20 years ago.

Do not listen to people with negative ideas.

I am pregnant and will be nearly 45 when this baby is born. She will be my first and probably only, but I am THRILLED and so is her Daddy. We believe she will be the best part of our lives. I don't think there is any mistake or coincidence that we are expecting her now - we're ready now!

My grandmother had four children after the age of 38, and she lived to be 95!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
