I had my 1st at 45 & now pregnant at 46

I had my first baby at 45, and am now 46 and pregnant. I read an article last year that said you are more likely to live until 100, if you bear children late in life. I guess because you are aging slower than the average woman. Good luck to you and your baby.

I'm 43 years old and have a son who is 20 months old, and I am pregnant now with my second child - due to deliver in July, 2005. Age is just a state of mind. If you feel young, then you are young.

My husband and I tried for 6 years to conceive before we became pregnant with our first child. I have not yet run into anyone who has told me that I am 'too old' to be having a baby. My son has brought us so much happiness and I couldn't imagine my life without him. My husband and I will be doubly blessed with the birth of our second child this July.

Just be content with your situation, and all your friends and family will be envious when they see your happiness after you have your beautiful new child.

I am 43 years old and 8 months pregnant with my 4th boy. I can't tell you how special each one of them is! I had one at 30 years old (he's 13 now), one at 32 (almost 11), and one at 41 (terrible two's).

I'll be three months shy of 44 when this one is born. I can't imagine my life without each and every one of them. The hardest part of being pregnant is filtering out the negative stuff. We all get it, but we don't have to let it affect us. I ask these type of people, "So what do you think I should do about it now?"

I just turned 44 and had my baby 4 days after my birthday. Do what's in your heart. No one can tell you what's important to you, and if having a child is what you want, and you're able, go for it! I don't regret it for a minute.

My parents had my little sister when my mother was 47. Don’t listen to other people and enjoy your pregnancy. You're only as old as you feel.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
