I gave birth at 44 to healthy baby girl, we so very happy

I got married for the second time at age 43, I have two teenagers from my previous marriage. My new husband and I took romantic honeymoon to Mexico. While we were hiking through some ancient ruins I became very nauseous. We went back to the hotel to rest, but I still didn't feel well for the rest of our trip. When we got home I took a home pregnancy test just to rule that out -- I didn't think I was pregnant... But much to my surprise it was positive. My husband is thrilled, this baby is his first. I gave birth at age 44 to healthy baby girl and we so very happy. I hope we can have at least one more!

I have some dear friends who are both musicians, he is rather well-known. They had their first child when she was 41, and the baby was born at home in the water -- a very healthy baby girl. This past winter they welcomed their second child, another healthy baby girl born at home. She is now 50, and he is 66. And I know this was a natural conception.

My husband is 44 and I will be 45 next week. We have a 22-month old and, somehow, by some miracle, we've been blessed to be pregnant again. I'm 16 weeks along.

I'm another Barb, having my first baby at 44 ! Just hit the 27 week mile-stone today, and am feeling fine. Had no morning sickness, failed AFP tests for Downs but the ultrasound showed no abnormalities...so we are very happy. I was very scared at first, but now am just feeling unbelievably blessed.
