I did have an uncle whose wife was 50/51 when they had their 12th child so I can only keep hoping and praying.

I am a 44 year old to three kids: 9, 6, and 2 and I am also expecting a babe in January. I am a unschooler homeschooler to all my kids. It's so great to see others in my age bracket!

I got pregnant at age 43 after 6 months trying - all natural - (did use acupuncture though - I believe it helped), and am now 34 weeks pregnant with another healthy boy. I turned 44 in May. It CAN and DOES happen!!! Much good luck to you!!!!

Then along comes me, an older woman, and he wasn’t even concerned that I would have a hard time getting pregnant. He said both his grandmothers had babies in their 40's and we shouldn’t worry, it would happen.

My old boss and his wife had 5 grown children. Then "oops" she got pregnant at 49 yrs old. Had a healthy boy. Well, they did not want him to grow up an "only" child. So they TTC, got pregnant right away. She gave birth to healthy twin boys at 51 years old. She is a very healthy and youthful woman anyway, but the children made her look better.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
