My housekeeper's mother-in-law had her son (housekeeper's husband) when she was 50! Her mother-in-law is now 90, and still going strong!
She's an old mexican woman and didn't do anything to have another baby, it was a huge surprise! It's totally possible.

My regular doctor had a patient last year who gave birth to her first child at age 45 (total surprise), and another patient who had a baby at age 47 (she tried for awhile, charted, etc).
When my regular doctor called the "high risk" OB [obstetrician] for that patient's referral, she expected the office to be surprised but they said "We see this a lot."
