There's June at 47, Dawn at 46, Clare & Tracey at 45

Keep plugging away - it happens more than doctors admit! I conceived 3 months before my 46th birthday, and losing her was nothing to do with age. On the list of 2006 babies, there's June at 47, Dawnm at 46 and Clare and Traceyum at 45 - and that's out of only 47 women!

While in my RE's office, he was ultrasounding three patients to check for first time fetal heartbeats. He got 4. Yup, one was having twins. The women were: 42, 43 and 44. All with their own eggs. In his last "over 40" cycle, only one woman was unable to achieve a pregnancy.

I had four children in three decades and two millennia...!!!! I was 27 with the first, and 45 with the caboose! She was born on her older bro's 18th birthday - he thought he was getting a new car - he got another sister.

I was 47! I had my first at 27, 8 months after I adopted an infant. 20 years later I adopted a 5 year old... and got pregnant again! Gotta watch that adoption euphoria!

I'm a single, working mom of 3 sons (ages 20, 17 and 5 1/2 months). I am now 45. If someone would have told me I would have a baby at this age, I never would have believed it. However, I feel this new life is a blessing to me. I just hope I'll be able to keep up with him when he starts running around.

Catherine

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
