I found out I was pregnant at 45

I, too, was shocked and so nervous - when I found out I was pregnant at age 45 - I had night sweats, and couldn't sleep at night. I didn't realize there are medications out there, and people who can help you in this state, and so you can enjoy your pregnancy.

I just turned 46 years old in December and I didn't even think I could get pregnant anymore. I have a daughter, 26 years old and a son who just turned 21 on January 30, 2006. Well, I just had a healthy, beautiful baby girl on January 20, 2006 . She weighed 7lbs 6oz, and there were no complications at birth or afterwards.

Just wanted to let all those moms-to-be out there, that even at our age it can be accomplished, and you can enjoy your pregnancy and not have major complications. I honestly couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, although I was in shock at the beginning and very worried for the baby .

I'm 44 and in my 7th pregnancy at 5 weeks 5 days. My last 3 have ended in miscarriage.

Anna Elizabeth was born on Dec 5 via scheduled C-section. (Estimated Due Date was November 29) She was 10 lbs 1 oz, and 21 inches long.

I am very grateful to my doctor for recommending the C-section, as there would have been issues if we had induced for a vaginal delivery. (on the day of the section, she still had not dropped into my pelvis)

All went well, and we now have a beautiful baby girl. Looking back, I can't believe that I ever feared the surgery or the recovery. I have been home a week, and only have the slightest bit of pain near the incision. Who says 44 is too old to have your first baby ???

Hi, I'm 44 too. Pregnant with 3rd one now at 23 weeks. I just had a cerclage as I have an incompetent cervix. The peri-natal doctor put me out of work due to my condition.

I have a 26 month old boy & a 6 yr old girl. I, too, had 3 miscarriages between the 2 children. This was not a planned pregnancy but I am happy about having this baby.
