This is how you find yourself pregnant at 53.

This is how you can mess up and find yourself pregnant at 50. That's EXACTLY what happened to the mother of a friend of mine many years ago. She was having herself a casual little fling with a man she'd met in the Bahamas, thought that she was post-menopausal, done with birth control and wham! Found herself pregnant at 53!

I was a menopause baby and my mother told me that having a baby to focus on was the only thing that kept her sane.

Abby has left to go to Pennsylvania to assist her mom who is pregnant at 47.

To complicate matters, her mother is pregnant at 47.

Nov, 1993 - THROUGH the miracle of modern medicine, pop-soul diva Ruth Pointer and her husband, Michael Sayles, a real estate developer, became proud parents of in-vitro twins last July. The babies were born six weeks premature and were delivered by Caesarean section at a Providence, R.I., hospital.

This was no small feat for the 47-year-old songstress who thought her childbearing years were over. With three children, Faun, 28, Milik, 27, and Issa, 15, as well as two grandchildren, the Grammy Award-winning singer thought the only time she'd be in a maternity ward would be to visit someone else.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
