My doctor just had a patient give birth at age 46!

My doctor is a Christian and is very encouraging. He is constantly telling me "It's going to happen" and "Let's say our prayers". He just had a patient give birth at age 46! It doesn't matter what statistics show....

Well I hope this encourages you -- at 46 I am expecting! It was a total, complete, unexpected surprise. It could happen. We did it all, doctors, specialists, medicines and nothing worked. Why this is working is a mystery to me.

My cousin delivered a natural pregnancy at 45 and the doctors had told her she could not get pregnant. It was her first successful pregnancy. She had a miscarriage the year before. I know for a fact she did not use any drugs or IVF. Actually she was single at the time and did not want children. She has since married the father and all is well. Miracles do happen but then again it may not.

The Belfiores settled into life as a family, with summer vacations, birthdays and small talk about their days — and then a big surprise came.

After years of fertility treatments and then adopting the four children, Susan became pregnant at age 45. In December 1995, she delivered an 8 pound, 11 ounce baby boy they named Aidan. He was a welcome addition to the family.

She said there was an elderly lady in her apt building who had a niece who had twins at 54!!! I said "Oh, I'm sure it's donor eggs at her age." She said, “I'll ask my neighbour” - she said her neighbour lady INSISTED that it was all natural and was an "oops" pregnancy - thought she was menopausal. She and the babies were fine and healthy.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
