My sister-in-law had her babies at 42 and 45.

I guess I am lucky in that BOTH of my grandmothers had their last child at 42 and did it the old fashioned way. My sister-in-law had hers at 42 and 45. All of these people were annoyingly fertile, but still, women have been having babies in their forties for centuries.

I am very proud to be 44 and pregnant. Although I have heard other comments about age, most people think it's great and think I'm just a pillar of strength, especially those who have been pregnant and know how difficult it can be. - Jamie, 32 weeks with a baby girl

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
