The baby was born when she was 45

Her first positive pregnancy test was when she was 41, and the baby was born when she was 42. The second positive pregnancy test was when she was 44, and the baby was born when she was 45. I think because you've already had success in your 40's, your chances are much better than those who haven't had successes yet.

I think genetics played a big part in this, my Mother had me when she was 48.

She then told me that her husband's (he is around 50 now) mom didn't start having children (she had 2) until she was in her late 40's as she married late!

I am 44.5 and pregnant with my own eggs. - Jeanne

I got pg at 43 3/4 and DD is 3 months old...just trying to see if it's worth another try, just shy of my 45th birthday... - Christine

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
