I am 45 and have a 3 year old and a 9 month old. Occasionally I do feel "too old", but having these two precious girls in my life more than makes up for those days!

My Grandmother had her youngest at 46.

My mother delivered me at 44 and I'm the last her 6 (total 8 in the family). If you are healthy - I say go for it.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
