I am 45 and 6 weeks pregnant with my 3rd - -also unexpected and a shock. I, too, am extremely nervous, wondering how I will handle three, how I can continue to work (my husband is a stay-at-home dad), and if the baby will be healthy. We had two miscarriages before baby number 2 so we were thrilled to have her at age 43. Now, I am scared!!

I'm 46 and am 26 weeks pregnant with my first, due Nov 6 (just over a month before I turn 47!!!). Other than the nausea, everything has been fine. It's great to hear of other women in a similar position.

I am 47 and 29 weeks pregnant. My sister had twins 4 months ago at age 44. I had a lot of iffy ultrasounds early on. Finally at 8 weeks he was pronounced viable, and now he's big and active. - Teresa

I'm 43 and will be 44 on Dec. 9. I'm almost 14 weeks pregnant. - EDD for baby is 1/21/06 so barring premature delivery I'll be 44 then. - Julinda

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
