I have a good friend who was 46 (at her son’s birth) and her son is perfect as well

I conceived my last child at age 41, and one of my partners conceived her first at 41 and last at 43. So it is very possible that you will be pregnant in no time.

Yep, my family is super-fertile too - all of the women in my family have had kids in their 40's (surprises) going 3+ generations back. My great-grandmothers all had over 6 kids and some had twins.

I'm 43, and in my second trimester, and still nursing my 2 yr old. My midwife thought continuing to nurse through pregnancy was fine.

Well my aunt is 43 and she just had her last child 6 months ago (she has 7 total) and all are healthy and beautiful and she couldn’t be happier. I say go for it. If you feel up to it then who cares about what other people think!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
