Hi, I am 44 and 24 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, my first child. My husband is 50.
I had all of the tests, amnio, and everything is going really well. I feel very fortunate.
This is my second pregnancy, my first was 10 years ago and was, let's just say, a pregnancy from hell that took me time to get over. That is why I am so grateful about how my current pregnancy has been.
I'm 43 and expecting, but not for the first time. We have three beautiful children who are the joy of our lives. Naomi is 20 and in collage in Montana. Rachel is 17 and will be graduating this year. Nathanael is 12 and in 7th grade.
My husband and I have been each others "one and only" for 22 great years. Life was perfect and we were moving on... then we found out that God has another one for us!! What a shock!!!
We had our life all mapped out, and feel like we were just about to hit "home" on the game board, and were sent all the way back to "start" again. My pregnancy has gone super easy without any complications whatsoever, and we are adjusting to the whole idea.
The rest of the family is MUCH more excited than I am, but like someone said, "that's because I am the one who will be stuck with most of the work!"
On the 12th I will be reaching the 20 week mile marker, and have an appointment and will have an ultrasound. We hope to find out then what we are having. (we are missionaries in Thailand)
