I found this at Fertile Heart today:

DON'T LOSE HOPE! Here's a great story from an autobiography called Because They Hate, by Brigitte Gabriel. On page 4 of the book, Gabriel says her parents tried for twenty years to have a child.

One day her mother noticed a swelling in her abdomen and feared it was a tumor. The doctor informed her she was 7 months pregnant! She was 54 years old. Her husband was 60.

I am a mom of a 4 year old, and also in my 50's, yes, you will have good days and bad days - but the reward is so big, that it is worth it!!!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.

Failing to see the relevance of the opinion of total strangers. If a woman wants to have a baby, at any age, and especially past 50, pretty much the main hurdle is can she?

Don't just sit there, reading this story or article - say something! Do you believe it? Do you think it is impossible? Do you wish it was you? Do you have a story to share (it might get published!)
