I'm 43 with my 3rd, I'll turn 44 in March

As you have seen just on this site, there are many of us over 40 and pregnant. I was 41 with my 2nd child and now I'm 43 with my 3rd. I'll turn 44 in March. I'm due in February. Mine were both naturally conceived.

"On a personal note, my grandmother was 48 when she had my mother, from a natural conception. Maybe that's why I am a fertility doctor."

I have a friend.. She is 53 years old, and has a 1 year old grandchild. Her husband is 60... She has been thru menopause, and guess what? She is now expecting... Imagine that surprise!!

I worked with a woman that was 52, and was pregnant. No joke!

A friend of my Mum's daughter in Australia who conceived her first just after her 43rd birthday - naturally. Now has healthy daughter. She is manic-depressive, and had an alcohol problem. Apparently has not touched the drink since she got pregnant, so two positive outcomes. Baby is fine.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
