I will be 45 in Nov & 16 weeks pregnant

I will be 45 in November and am 16 weeks pregnant with my 5th child (totally not planned, but am happy about it now) I have a 23, 21, 15 and 8 year old!!

We were not planning on having any more children, but ooops! I am not planning on having an amnio either. My husband is 7 years younger than I am. I had my 1st two kids from a previous marriage. I am feeling great and can't wait to feel the baby's first movements. I am thinking in the next few weeks that will happen. - Robin

I will be 44 years old in 9 days and I'm expecting my first baby, a girl, in January. I am 28 weeks now. The pregnancy has (so far) been a dream come true. I only got sick one time in the beginning, but not since. Have ENJOYED food! haha... minimal heartburn, swelling of feet and ankles, but other than that, all is well. We are very excited. - Gina

My first child at age 34 was stillborn. Had a second at 35 and a third at 39. Second child died at age nine, and at age 47 I had a fourth child. I'm now 55 with a 14 and a 7 year old.

I live in Northern California, so I was not -- by far -- the oldest mom for #2, or even for #3. Depending on where you wind up practicing, up to age 40, you'll probably be right in the swing of things among your friends.

Personally I think the complaints about energy come with #3 or #4 no matter how old you are.

My Mom got pregnant at 47 (surprise) Dad was 52.They had 3 grandkids at the time.

All went very well.. and the baby kept them younger looking and acting, than their friends.
