I know a woman who had twins at 50 using her own eggs! She was the talk of DC back in 1994...however, they needed some assistance (drugs).
I think some people can produce good eggs much later in life, but not most. And this woman smoked when she was younger, although she was very healthy and not overweight.

I got pregnant at 45.5 after being told by DR. Sher that I had "no chance". I was very happy to send him a birth announcement. Natural - NO Nothing... had given up TCM a year before. Was still strict about my diet...no sugar, no dairy and nothing white. Still did wheat-grass a few times a week up until the beta.

I had my first baby at 40.5 and just gave birth to twins at 44. It's totally doable. I work full time also. Only you can know what's right for you and your family. If you do TTC again - much luck!

I had high FSH too. I tried acu and TCM after a chemical pregnancy and before gearing up for another IUI and got a BFP on the second cycle. I am now half way through my pregnancy with a healthy baby girl! I am 44 years old.

After eight months of taking care of myself, I discovered I was pregnant. My younger daughter was born when I was 44. The changes I have made in my lifestyle became useful, because I needed to be in shape to take care of two children.
