There was a guy I knew in college whose siblings were much older — his mom was 52 when she had him. It can happen.

My grandmother gave birth to my father when she was 45 -- IN 1937!! So I suppose it CAN happen for some people...

My neighbour's friend conceived after two years trying at the age of 46.4 months. She was against using donor eggs or IVF.
Sorry to disappoint you but women in their 40's are very capable of conceiving.

My Dr. happens to specialize in age-related infertility. He just delivered a baby to a 46 year old patient of his, who thought she was in menopause. But, as fate would have it, she got pregnant naturally. It was her second child. I actually met her and have spoken with her myself, because I was so inspired by her story.
I am with you, until there are no more eggs in my ovaries, I won't give up!

I am working with a Dr of Acupuncture who is fabulous. He comes to my house once a week with his little black bag! He has many clients who have gotten pregnant in their 40's and even in their 50's.
His two most impressive stories are: a 51 year old who had never even been pregnant before, and a 59 year old who had several children. These were natural pregnancies with no ART.
