3rd IVF worked at 45 & her daughter was born
I finally went to my first acupuncture session yesterday afternoon. I really felt comfortable with the acupuncture physicians, a husband and wife team from Taiwan.
After about a half hour of the three of us talking, them asking me questions and explaining things the husband left the room to check on another patient. He then came in and told me that one of the recent successful moms was there (for some non-pg related treatment) and he asked me if I'd like to meet her. Of course I said I'd like to, so she came in with her adorable 3 month old baby girl who was over 9 pounds at birth. This mother tried to get pregnant for 10 years and had been through the mill and back with the whole nine yards of fertility treatment. Prior to acupuncture she had IUI's, and two failed IVF's.
When she was 44 she decided to try one more IVF, but her RE told her he didn't want to attempt another unless she went for acupuncture. So, she went for her acupuncture, despite, she admitted, thinking acupuncture was just a hokey scam! LOL! Well, the third IVF worked and at the age of 45 her daughter was born. One of her problems was that she had 6 miscarriages, so she kept going to acupuncture for the duration of the pregnancy, and her daughter was delivered full term.

Also, just to encourage everybody, a friend of my friend had her first at 45 just the other day! She said it's like the lottery, if you don't play then it's guaranteed not to happen but if you do try , you have a chance !

That is what my Aunt said too before she conceived her daughter at age 50! She had been trying for 20 years!

I have a sister-in-law who had 3 girls at 40, 41, and 44. She had C-sections all 3 times. The first time they told her the baby was going to be huge, but it turned out she had a huge fibroid. It went down in size after pregnancy and up again in the next 2 pregnancies. I don't know if she had it removed or not during her last C-section - she could have. All I know is she had 3 c-sections that all went well and 3 lovely baby girls.
