I had an unplanned pregnancy at 45

I had an unplanned pregnancy at age 45. I already had two other children, same husband, who were 19 and 15 when I got pregnant. I had bleeding in the first trimester, diet controlled gestational diabetes, and had no hormone shots. I delivered at 37 and 3/7 week from a car accident. He is now four and I am 49.

My husband's grandparents met in the in 1920s. His grandfather had travelled all over the world and had been too busy to marry (LOL). His grandmother was a spinster school teacher. They were both in their 40s and got married.

Guess what - they had 4 children. All were healthy. All four went to Ivy League schools (or the female equivalent at the time). One of my father-in-law's sisters was the only female in her law school class in the 1940s. Father-in-law's brother was a war hero in WWII and countless lives were saved because of him. Father-in-law's other sister taught inner-city children.

I'm forever grateful that my husband's grandparents didn't think they were too old to have children.

You can do whatever it takes to improve the health of your cells, like our 45 year old patient who became pregnant with her own eggs from a FROZEN transfer after several previous attempts at IVF did not create a viable pregnancy.

My sister's best friend has just become pregnant with her third child, and she's just turned 47. The new mother-to-be was more than a bit surprised, but she's looking forward to the event.

Pregnant at 47 years old - Is their anyone out there who are have their first child at 47/48? I need some advise
