I've had an 8 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old since I've turned 40. We are all enjoying the younger ones development so much... They keep us all laughing! - Kate (48)

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my 4th. It was a significant shock for me. My kids are 10, 12 and almost 15. I am 44 and have been married to my husband for 22 years. I thought we were done and have had a hard time dealing with my upcoming loss of freedom.

I know plenty of people who are still trying (besides those of us on this board). In fact, two people I know indirectly had successful pregnancies at 47! A girl friend of mine, who is 45, says that she will keep trying until she reaches menopause! I think I will do the same.

I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 41 (had her at 42) and am now pregnant with #2 and will most likely deliver just after turning 44.

In 1997, at age 40, Haney discovered part of God’s redemptive purpose for her life when she gave birth to a baby girl, Jordan. About five years later, Haney and her husband, Jeff, experienced the miracle of childbirth again with a son, Dustin. Being pregnant at 45 had given Haney a whole new meaning of the expression “labour of love.”

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
