I found out by surprise, pregnant at 45

I too found out by surprise, pregnant at 45. Problems arose. Then shock again 5 months later pregnant again. (We were trying since I was 39 with no results. One daughter 11 years ago with fertility treatments) This time no treatments and pregnant twice at age 45!

I’m happy to see that I’m not the only woman here over 45... I’m 47 and found out that I'm pregnant... It's still a shock to me, and I’m now hoping it’s not a mistake. I had 3 pregnancy tests and they all read the same.

I am 46 years old and just found out I'm pregnant. One minute I'm happy, and the next I'm scared. Is there anyone about my age out there who is in the same situation?

I am 46 and found myself pregnant late September. I had years of infertility, one ovary and now an adopted 17 year old and an 8 year old conceived via AI [Artificial Insemination]. I had very mixed feelings. I saw my OB who said I had a 50% chance of a miscarriage, and odds of birth defects very high. Still, I secretly became excited and resolved that one way or another I would work it out.

I am turning 45 in 2 weeks and am due Jan 8, 2006. I too was rather surprised to find myself pregnant, but excited as well. To say I was worried would be not strong enough, and had all the tests one can have. I am pleased to say that all is well and all signs are showing that my husband and I are about to deliver a healthy baby girl.

Go fourth and enjoy this, but be prepared for anything.
