She gave up at 44, 1y later found she was pregnant!

I know my sister in law waited 23 years trying to get pregnant and about $10,000 trying. She gave up when she turned 44 or so and one year exactly she found out she was [pregnant] and her husband was 48. She had a few complications during pregnancy and a 7 month delivery, but you wouldn't know it now.

My OB told me that they had many, many women who were over 40 and having babies. They have big practice -- 6 OBs. My doctor told me [that at 45y] I handled the pregnancy much better than a lot of her 20 and 30 year old patients. I have quite a few friends that are over 40 and having babies too!

I am over 45 and I ABSOLUTELY adore my 3 month old child. We have two other girls that are 12 and 16 and they cannot get enough of her. She is a joy ...each and every day!

Whoa! I’m 45 and I just got a prescription for prenatal vitamins. When I first learned I was pregnant, I felt like it must be a huge mistake. Even the Doctor’s office didn’t quite believe me—they did a second test “just to be sure”. I left their office with booklets on baby development and a due date some time after my 46th birthday.

My grandmom had her last kid when she was 46.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
