My Grandma's sister had twins at the age of 46

My Grandma had my mum at the age of 42 (her only child) it was during the war and nobody knows who the father was! My other Grandma's sister had twins at the age of 46. I have been doing my family tree recently and I am always pleased when I find women having children well into their 40s and I've found quite a few!

By the way, my husband's mother was around 42 or 43 when she had him! He was the last of four.

My Mom and Dad were already married when my grandmother got pregnant with my uncle - she was 50!

A friend of mine is adopting a baby off a friend of hers that is too "old" to have a newborn to look after. I asked how old and my friend replied 57y!! This is a true story, she is well into her 12th week of pregnancy and I would never have believed it! She thought it was menopause, instead it was a baby!!

I have to tell you that while I was pregnant at 43, I heard lots of stories of peoples' moms who were well in their 40's and one in her 50's that got pregnant and had babies. One lady at the bank told me her mom got pregnant the night they gave her and her dad their 50th wedding anniversary party! The "baby" now is thirty-something, and the mom is in her 80's.
