Guess what...I am pregnant! at age 44!!! I am still in a state of complete shock about this, finding it hard to believe. I got my BFP last week at 11 DPO....very strong symptoms started at about 9 DPO.

I am preg and 44.9 yrs old. I conceived naturally this past August but had a miscarriage three weeks later. I am once again a little over three weeks pregnant and am hoping this one sticks. My betas are good and am going back this Fri. Nov. 21st for a final beta test.

I am age 44 and have two sons, 16 and 11, from a previous marriage. I married again in 2001, my DH had not been married before, had never had children so we decided to try to have a child together. Went through a year and a half of fertility treatment, three unsuccessful IUIs and had just taken out a loan to do an IVF when we got pregnant naturally. I am going into my 13th week of pregnancy, doing wonderfully and am due on May 18, 2004. It is possible - don't give up hope!

My dad was 53 and my mother was 47 when they had me (naturally) and then 3 years later I had a little sister, so at any age its beautiful! I admire the older couples for having a stable life, stable careers and finances are stable before having a child. Relaxed and living life awhile and not rushing into having a baby.

My Great-grandmother had 12 kids and three of them were born after she turned 40.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
