Catherine McDiarmid-Watt | Saturday, November 18, 2006 | 0 comments

Dr. L told me about a 44 year old patient that was working with her own eggs, that recently had only one four cell to transfer on day three. And she is now 8 weeks along with what appears to be a very healthy pregnancy. Just goes to show you that you never know until the beta.

January 27, 2006, Monaco's Princess Caroline is reportedly pregnant again - at the age of 49. The new baby will be the princess' second with her third husband, Prince Ernst of Hanover.

I am 43 (soon to be 44) and am newly and unexpectedly pregnant. My only other pregnancy was exactly 20 years ago and ended at about 8 weeks (borderline ectopic).

I'm just about at 8 weeks now and have ruled out ectopic with a couple of ultrasounds. We saw the heartbeat last week and so far all is well.

I've had four since I turned 40. The oldest is now a 6 year old. The twins will be 4 in May. And the baby just turned a year at the end of December.

I've had an 8 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old since I've turned 40. We are all enjoying the younger ones development so much...they keep us all laughing!

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.
