Both grandmas had babies at 43 & 46 respectively...

When my mom researched her family tree, she was amazed at how many women had children late in life.

Right from when they got married at 15 or 16 years old (the research went back to 1529 AD, when early marriage was normal), until right when the menopause hit at 48 years old, or even 50 years old.

Both my grandmothers had their last child at 43 years old and 46 years old respectively...

My husband and I tried for two years, and thought we just could not conceive.

Just when we had given up, I got pregnant with our son Benjamin.

We hadn't even tried to get pregnant that month and yet, there it was... a + HPT [home pregnancy test].

I was just shy of turning 42 years old.

Sadly, we lost our precious son to premature birth at 22 weeks.

However, God blessed us with another child just five short months later.

I gave birth, at 43 years old, in Dec. 2004 to my daughter Emma.

So... it can happen.

My husband and I married when I was 41 years old and a bit.

We were TTC [trying to conceive] for about 18 months before I got pregnant.

I turned 43 years old a few weeks afterwards.

I am now at 20 weeks pregnant now, so pretty hopeful for this, our first baby!

We just found out she is expecting!

They are well into their forties.

I would say she is at least 44 years old.

My mother-in-law had my husband  when she was 45 years old...

And that was 36 years ago.

AND he's got a brother 15 months younger than him.

AND his Dad was 60 years old when my husband was conceived!!
