I'm 44, and wasn't supposed to be able to have any more children either. I am very excited about my 6th child (due October 30).

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost our precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted there will be no more babies in our house.

I am 51 yrs old. I am 4 to 6 weeks pregnant. I am very scared do I keep it abort it or just let nature take it's course. What are my chances of this pregnancy going to full term? I have 5 children 33,19, 18, 15 and 12. I should be menopausal not pregnant.

  2. Congratulations! Yes, the chances are low at 51y for a successful pregnancy, but there is still hope if you wish to continue this pregnancy.

I wish you comfort with whatever you decide to do.
