Frank Skinner has revealed how he is coping with the prospect of becoming a father for the first time at the age of 55.

The host of BBC1’s Room 101 rose to fame on the show Fantasy Football League in the 1990s and has described his stand-up tours as a mix of pub humour and politically dubious sex routines.

But he said he is now taking his responsibilities seriously, putting his beloved soccer to one side to support his six months pregnant partner, comedy agent Cathy Mason, 43.

The comedian has been with Miss Mason since 2003 when she worked as a receptionist at his management company.

About Catherine: I am mom to three grown sons, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs. After years of raising my boys as a single mom, I remarried a wonderful man who had never had a child of his own. Unexpectedly, I found myself pregnant at 49!
Sadly we lost that precious baby at 8 weeks, and decided to try again. Five more losses, turned down for donor egg, foster care and adoption due to my age and losses - we have accepted that there will be no more babies in our house.
